This Policy describes generally how we collect, use, store and share information that we receive from users of the Services (“Users”). This Policy applies both to individuals using such services that register with DeeditForward, create DeeditForward Accounts and use the App.
This Policy covers the activities of DeeditForward with respect to the collection, use, storage and disclosure of information through any of the Services. The activities of third parties that provide services to DeeditForward, that may collect information about you, are governed by the respective privacy policies of those third parties.
We will continue to evaluate and update this Policy. We recommend that you check for changes regularly. In addition, please review DeeditForward Terms of Service, which govern your use of the DeeditForward App, website, and services.
The Information DeeditForward Collects
DeeditForward may obtain the following types of information from or concerning you or your mobile phone device, which may include information that can be used to identify you as specified below (“Personally Identifiable Information”):
Facebook Login: Facebook login features may be added to DeeditForward and you may choose to login to DeeditForward through your Facebook account. If you do so, we may gain access to your name, email address, public profile, friend list, and allied information. We may use the information to automatically create a DeeditForward account for you and you may remain logged in to DeeditForward via Facebook until you manually logout. Logging in via Facebook may also allow you to find and follow your Facebook friends that are already on DeeditForward and may allow your Facebook friends on DeeditForward to find and follow you.
If an option to login with Facebook is offered, or required, you should review your Facebook terms and conditions as well as privacy policies to determine what information they gather about you if you are logging in to DeeditForward through Facebook, and what information Facebook provides DeeditForward access.
Information You Provide to Us:
We collect any information you enter on the DeeditForward Site or App, or that you give us by e-mail or in any other way. You can (of course) choose not to provide certain information, but this may cause not being able to take advantage of our Services and exclude you from participating as a “NEEDER” and/or “DEEDER” within the app. For example, you may provide certain Personally Identifiable Information, and in some cases, verifiable personal identification information, such as your mobile phone number, name, gender, driver’s license or ID#, address, date of birth, email, and mobile device information to DeeditForward when choosing to participate in various uses of the DeeditForward Services, such as registering as a user, making a Deed Request, responding to Deed Requests, and making a Profile. (credit card information is not stored and functionality offered by third party only)
What information we share with other users as part of Our Services
The information you provide in the sign up process creating an account, or that the app determines, can be shared with other users. This information includes: the name you provide as a user name, your photo that you upload for your user photo, your location (both generally and precisely) as determined by geolocation services utilized by the app, and your rating average based on user feedback (where applicable).
Credit Card Information:
Credit card information is NOT stored on our servers or maintained in our database. Credit card information and processing for any payments within the app is entirely serviced and conducted offsite by third party processors (i.e., STRIPE). See their polices for privacy and security concerns.
DeeditForward uses a leading web services company to store data which uses industry recognized and standard security protocols. DeeditForward uses stored contact information for only the purpose specified above and does not share this information with any third party.
DeeditForward may also log actions you perform while using the Services for statistical analysis. When you post deed Requests, the information contained in your posting will be stored.
Device identifier: A unique device identifier is a number automatically assigned to your device. We may associate the device identifier with other information, such as the IP address of your mobile device, and will treat the combined information as Personally Identifiable Information in accordance with this policy for as long as it is combined.
Usage/Activity Information: When you use the DeeditForward Site, our servers automatically record certain user activity such as session length, requests viewed, deed request posts per user, number of good deeds offered, good deeds reviewed, etc., and may include how you navigate the app. Web pages and advertiser links, or third party links offered directly via the DeeditForward application that are visited may also be recorded.
Information Use/Email notifications
The information we collect is used for administering our business activities, and may be used for third party advertising purposes in the future. Occasionally we may use the information to notify you about changes to our app or website, new services, or special offers. By registering as a User and maintaining an account and/or using DeeditForward Services, you consent to the receipt of such materials or notifications to your e-mail address.
We may share non-Personally Identifiable Information with interested third-parties to assist them in understanding the usage patterns for certain content, services, advertisements, promotions, and/or functionality on the DeeditForward Site or App. We may collect and release Personally Identifiable Information and/or non- Personally Identifiable Information if required to do so by law, or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with state and federal laws (such as U.S. Copyright Law), international law or respond to a court order, subpoena, or search warrant or equivalent, or where in our reasonable belief, an individual’s physical safety may be at risk or threatened. DeeditForward also reserves the right to disclose Personally Identifiable Information and/or non- Personally Identifiable Information that DeeditForward believes, in good faith, is appropriate or necessary to enforce our Terms of Service, take precautions against liability, to investigate and defend itself against any third-party claims or allegations, to assist government enforcement agencies, to protect the security or integrity of the DeeditForward Site or our servers, and to protect the rights, property, or personal safety of DeeditForward, our users or others.
We do not sell or give your Personally Identifiable Information (such as mobile phone number or email address) with other third-party companies for their use without your consent or except as part of a feature for which you will have the ability to opt-in or opt-out.
Choice to Decline submitting information
Data Security Commitment
DeeditForward uses commercially reasonable physical, managerial, and technical safeguards to preserve the integrity and security of your personal information using leading web services companies to store information and distribute content. We cannot, however, ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to DeeditForward and by using the service you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your transmission of information, DeeditForward makes commercially reasonable efforts to ensure the security of our systems. However, please note that this is not a guarantee that such information may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards. If DeeditForward learns of a security systems breach, then we may attempt to notify you electronically so that you can take appropriate protective steps. DeeditForward may post a notice on the DeeditForward Site or through the DeeditForward Service if a security breach occurs. Using unsecured wifi or other unprotected networks to submit messages through the DeeditForward Service is never recommended.
This website does not provide services to children under the age of 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe that your child under the age of 18 years old has provided us with information, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to ensure that such information is deleted from our systems.
